What derailleurs work with the BFC?

- Any 10 speed derailleur with a medium or long cage should  work with the BFC. We have found Shimano derailleurs a bit easier to set up. We also have longer B-screws available, if you need one. And if you don't have a clutch derailleur, they're awesome, so you should probably go ahead and get one.

Do I need a new chain? Do I need a new cassette?

- Chains and cassettes tend to wear together, so if you have more than ~20 rides on your current setup, we would recommend new ones. Also, if you currently run a 1x system, your chain will not be long enough.

Do I need a new chainring?

- If your chainring has more than ~40 rides, we recommend a new one, as these also wear with the chain, but not as quickly as cassettes. We recommend a 32t chainring, but a 30t or a 34t also work depending on the terrain you typically ride and fitness level--30t for easier pedalling and 34t for faster endurinating.

What cassettes work with the BFC?

- Any 1030, 1050, or 1070 SRAM cassette will work, as well as Shimano XT and XTR. We have found the SRAM cassettes to work best.

Do I need a chainguide?

- If you are running a Race Face Narrow/Wide ring and a clutch derailleur, a chainguide is not necessary. However, we recommend a bashguard.
